The following services are available to walnut growers at QWP's processing facility:

• Processing

  • Hull Removal​

  • Visual inspection and mechanical sorting (removal of reject nuts)

  • Drying

• Storage of nuts (post-drying)​

• Preparation for sale

  • Sizing grading of in-shell nuts​

  • Additional visual inspection and mechanical sorting (as required)

  • Packaging

  • Freight logistics

The size grading parameters used by QWP are those outlined in the Australian Walnut Industry Association's (AWIA) Standards for Marketing (in-shell) Walnuts in Australia:

(Revised mid 2015 - please note size descriptors [e.g. Large] have been phased out)

• Greater than 36mm in diameter

• Between 32mm and 36mm in diameter

• Less than 32mm in diameter
